Brown House Snake Close-Up

This snake was caught on school campus as a big pile of debris was being removed. It was very placid and the longest house snake I have ever seen at almost a metre in length. This species is harmless as it is a constrictor. it is called "the farmer's friend" as it eats rodents in gardens. I took the opportunity for a good photo session before releasing it in Nakuru National Park.
