Kingfisher

Despite the fact that Brandon Marsh is renowned for its kingfishers, and that you see them regularly if you know where to look, taking a picture of one is a lot trickier than it seems. After several visits to different hides, this one landed on perch next to where I was. I had to act promptly and took several pictures. When I came back to the UK in July 2010, taking a picture of a European kingfisher in the wild was one of the little targets I like setting myself. Job done!
