Lion Kill

To witness a kill is something special and in South Luangwa National Park I have been privileged to see two successful lion hunts.
This one was at 9 am. The lions positioned themselves around a waterhole and let two warthogs come to drink before springing into action. The lions caught one and tore it to pieces next to the car.
What made it even more special was the fact it was the Mfuwe pride making the kill, a pride I managed to see almost every trip I did in the Luangwa valley and seeing the young adults I had seen as cubs make a kill was fantastic.
The camera was on a monopod and I used my 500mm lens to take the picture.
