Herald Snake Close-up
I caught this Herald Snake on the school campus in Lilongwe, Malawi. Herald Snakes are backed fang snakes and are quite aggressive. Their venom is not thought to be harmful to humans. I put the snake on a bed of leaves and took pictures with my 105mm macro lens, handheld.
Once finished, I released it at the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre. Every year, I released between 5 and 10 of these snakes before they got killed by people.
