Waterbuck at Sunset

As we were approaching the river after a very uneventful drive into the Rhino sanctuary, I saw the opportunity for a nice picture. I tried different things but I am still not completely happy with this one. I managed to get the vibrant colours of the sky but I feel the waterbuck is a bit dark. I tried different options with the flash but they did not work. Still a nice picture though. And an excuse to come back to try and get the “perfect” picture.

Nikon D700, Sigma 150-500mm OS at 270mm, F5.6, 1/1600s, ISO 6400, Gitzo monopod.
