Great Blue Eared Starling
I was looking for lions on the plains next to the airstrip in Lake Nakuru National Park when this starling landed next to the road. As the light on its plumage was gorgeous, I crept as close as I dared with the car, then switched off the engine. The bird was completely unconcerned and stayed perched on its bush as I took pictures.
