White Lipped Snake Portrait

I was called once again by a colleague who found this specimen in his kitchen. I had handled many white lipped snakes in Malawi and I knew the species well. They can be quite aggressive but are not dangerous to humans. This one was quite placid and I showed it to the students before taking it home for a little photo session. The snake was really compliant and let me come very close (less than 10 cm) in order to take the picture. I released it in my back garden.
