Greater Flamingo
Lake Nakuru was extremely high in December 2011, which made it less good for the algae on which the flamingo feed to thrive. As a consequence, there were no big flocks of flamingos but a lot of pelicans. There were still a few flamingos though and this one was feeding next to the track, in a little puddle.
