African Wild Dog

Over the past 6 years, I have spent, on average 50 days each year in the Africa bush.
I have seen the Wild Dogs once!
South Luangwa National Park, where I took this picture, has a stabe population of these critically endangered predators but seeing them is difficult. They can cover up to 50 km in a day. And I was always in the Park the day after or before a sighting.
On that day, I was in the right place at the right time. We saw a pack of 13 dogs, really close to the car. I took this shot with my 500mm lens on a monopod from the safari car. I like the fact that I was at eye level with the dog as he was on a little hill.
