Chamois

The chamois were reintroduced in the 1950s in the Vosges Mountains where I grew up.
The operation has been such a success that a few chamois need to be culled every year as their population has boomed. They have become a massive tourist attraction in the summer where people get up very early to try and see them.
I have been to the Honneck range, where the Chamois are quite plentiful and used to see people many times. I took this shot with my 500mm lens on a monopod.
