Giraffes in front of Sweetwaters Camp.

Sweetwaters camp is one of my two favourite hotels in Kenya (the other being Mombasa’s Voyager resort). The service is impeccable, the food is delicious and the game viewing from the lodge is splendid (giraffes, rhinos, zebras, impalas and buffaloes all come daily to drink at the water hole). I was driving on a road where you can see the lodge when I came across this herd of reticulated giraffes. With the new tents from the lodge in the backdrop, I thought that it was a nice picture for a brochure.

Nikon D700, Sigma 150-500mm OS lens at 290mm, F6.3, 1/160s, ISO 1600, handheld.
