I had a quiet morning in Lake Nakuru National Park by myself. The predators were playing hard to get, and all the people I had asked had not seen any either. I decided to go for plan B, which is to go on the little tracks, rarely used. As I exited the forest, near Enesolt rock, I saw a dead buffalo and a lone hyena still trying to eat. Suddenly, a flock of vultures saw the carcass. I parked the car a few metres away, and waited. They all landed one by one, allowing me to take a lot of pictures. It was quite amusing to see them squabble for the meat on the carcass. The noise their beak makes when hitting the bone is truly spectacular.
