Birds of Lake Nakuru National Park
Augur Buzzard and Snake
On a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, I spotted this Augur Buzzard on the road. These birds are usually seen in the trees or soaring in the sky. I guessed that there was something unusual so approached very slowly with the car and turned off the engine. After looking at the car for a while, the buzzard resumed its meal and I managed to take several pictures before it took its prey into a tree. It was a large snake that I could not identify.
