Flooded Road
During my two years in Nakuru, I saw the levels of the lake rise further and further. The road that is under water on this picture was a good 200m away from the lake edge 18 months before. This excess water came with consequences: it reduced the amount of soda in the lake, making life of the small algae that the flamingos feed on almost impossible. Over my two years in Nakuru I saw very few flamingos when a few years before, they were one of the major attraction in the Park.
